These stories are inconsistent. I came to them with low expectations, and, in a large part, I got what I expected. However, those set in the First World War are strikingly different than the southern gothic stories that make up the majority, and I’d like to read them again.

These stories are inconsistent.

I expected to dislike many of these as much as I dislike them, but I didn’t expect to like as many as I do.

It’s so obvious after reading the author state that the motivation for hate crime hoaxes and the inflating of fake racism statistics is wealth, fame and power.

So far, I’m not enjoying this book. Where’s the plot?
