Less than 200 pages left, book club meeting at 4pm. I've got this!!

I am adoring this book so far. Nerd science/math humor galore!!

Despite the corny title and cover art, this one is a pretty charming, easy read so far. Not bad.

Oooo, I love a creepy horror meets fable something fierce. Now I just need some lemonade and a haunted past, and I'm there.

So I was curious about contemporary Nora and her enchantment by fairies at the beginning. However, now that she's stuck with the medieval magic plot line with Arundiel, I find myself less curious. At over 500 pages and with all the bad reviews, I may drop this one for other juicier prospects.

On story number 10 so far and still digging it. Now I will need to hunt down some Stephanie Perkins to read....

I am still very confused by this story, but I also still find it darkly funny and am intrigued to find out more. Just never let it be said that this book is normal, because that'd be one big fat lie.

Some of these stories are awesome. There was only one so far that I didn't finish/skimmed (Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link).

This book is just perplexing and meandering as hell. I'm trudging to the end out of grim determination. I honestly never thought I would be so grateful for my first hint of actual exposition revealing some idea of a plot/purpose almost four HUNDRED pages into a book. Neil, I usually adore your writing, but what. The. Hell.

Insomnia, bad for general physical and mental well-being but good for reading progress...

I enjoy a good, tough-female-led fantasy story. And bonus, this one doesn't have excessive world building that sent me for the hills or a sleepy coma. So far, so good.

Okay, so I will admit that the characters are not really fully realized or identifiable here so far. However, the premise is intriguing and I will likely stay until the end, if only for all the forensic psychology and to find out what happens next.
