I was looking for a new weapon of self-defense since the cinder block I usually carry has become unfashionably worn from heavy use, so I picked up this anvil of a volume just in case some street toughs try to steal my beeper or my cordless phone.

Dusting off my copy with (perhaps) delusions I’ll finally read the entire series this time. I only own the first book and am planning to refresh my memory and finally get Dune Messiah.

Parenting is hard. I have two little tiny boys. I’ve been peed on more than I care to admit. Struck in the crotch by little fists bi-weekly. the value of a bath, brushing your teeth, going to sleep like I’m on the floor of Congress.

At times, parenting is a lot like that shot in Terminator 2. Schwarzenegger gives a final thumbs up as he burns on molten metal. You fuckin’ suffer, but you are happy to.
