I'm reading an unpaginated galley which I've started and stopped a couple of times ahead of the approaching deadlines of other books I'm reviewing, which I will have to do again since this book's publication date has been moved back two months. I've been enjoying it but must reluctantly take a break to read books with more pressing publication dates.

There are now brackets within parentheses (bracketed paragraphs within parenthetical chapters), and different sized fonts for the two ends of a phone conversation.

Looks like I've already read a good chunk of the second chapter in Hebrew too. Not sure how I feel about all the digressive parenthetical paragraphs (entire paragraphs in parentheses).

The unpaginated ARC arrived yesterday, and I read the first chapter. So far so good, but now my long awaited February book (Room by Yuval Shimoni) arrived, and I'll have to take a break from The Lost Civilization of Suolucidar while I read and review Room.

The English version just arrived and I reread the first chapter which I had already read in Hebrew. So far the translation of Shimoni's dense and difficult prose is quite good.

I'm enjoying it, but it takes me as long to read a paragraph in Hebrew as it does a page in English. The English translation will be published in three weeks, and since I still haven't received my reviewer's copy my review will be late.

After the opening paragraphs either the Hebrew text becomes less challenging or my Hebrew becomes less rusty.

I'm enjoying the digressions as much as the main narrative.
