Fredrik has the wildest case of adhd style associative thoughts process… and thats rich from an author who keeps on roasting the new generation 20 year olds. This man is a mess, i mean atp i just laugh everytime we get lost in his anxiety driven digressive narration.

If the reason why this is called Anxious people is bc Fredrick’s making me anxious with his constant rambling, then chapeau. Cause istg this man keeps on derailing, and it was endearingly annoying at first but now i just wanna slap some sense into the characters, or just fredrick really…

First time experiencing a fredrick backman book, kinda nervous. No but on a serious note, what a peculiar book…

This books makes me feel dumb. And i mean this in the most literal way. The authors writing is so metaphorical and poetic that im close to 15% in the book and still dk anything more about the story than what i already knew going in…

If London is tryna say this man is dumb af for thinking -no he doesnt think right- for believing he could get thru -50 just because he is « a man », and the act of needing someone to travel with is womanish, then he might be onto something. If not we might have a problem. Idc if he was a man of his time.

Im about to get a shot of espresso everytime this man reiterates the words «  it’s cold ». We get it London. Its 50 degrees below zero, maybe more. We get it. The man is really cold.

Jumpscare… a good example of how classic literature can contain harmful language, even when the story’s purpose is unrelated to race. Felt this way with agatha christie too, and people ask me why i never really pick up classics.

Going thru my stack of books i started in 2025 and never actually finished, im surprised to see this one on there. I mean it is a shorter book compared to the ones i usually read so.. started reading again and remember why i hadnt completed it. I need to take time away after each chapter to meditate. This is so deeply touching, the message in every sentence hits home sm im speechlessly looking at the wall rn.

Reading this to improve my turkish… have to google at least one word per sentence… might be in over my head.

Tandem reading is actually fun. Gives u that same satisfactory feeling like when you used to walk on the street as a kid and would fix yourself impromptu missions like reaching a pole in certain time. Iykyk

First time listening to an audiobook at x1,8 speed. Have a lot of thoughts, negative mostly, but im keeping them all for my final review… wishing to write that tonight so i can finally leave this universe behind

First of all the author probably just learned the word miscellaneous cause she uses it to describe absolutely anything its starting to get funny. Second of all i think there is a pattern im starting to see in these books and its not the type that i like. These are pure romance books. Theres not enough world building to call this fantasy and no other plotline outside of the main couple’s interactions.

Got influence by tiktok to tandem read this with powerless cause apparently thats the appropriate way to enjoy the incoming pain to the fullest. Its actually such a quick read, im liking the grumpy sunshine energy whos surprised ?

No cause why did tiktok convinced me to tandem read powerful with this one when i was just trying to get thru these 600 pages as fast as i can ?? Now my ass is going to have to read 200 more pages but at least ill add one more book to this year’s reading challenge… ?

Chapter 31 absolutely wrecked me. Its an immaculate representation of how time and changes affect even the strongest of friendships. The author just articulated this whole « things change » and « i wish it never changed » dilemma perfectly and it broke my heart to actually pieces.

The kind of book to read on sunny december days to warm your insides. Second chance romances are not my go-to but i like how this one plays out. The characters does not feel like caricatures and thats all i can ask of a romance book with a fuchsia cover tbh.

I never really read romcom books, would 100 % prefer a kdrama for that, but this is nice. The writing is really what helps.

Started this cause jack edwards said everyone needed a emily henry juice cleanse every year, if it ends up being a cliché smutful romance story im never taking his recommendations ever again. (Dont fail me jack i need a good romance book rn)

The only reason im not dnf-ing this is bc i payed for the audiobook. Might be the most romance centric hunger games dupe book out there. Like absolutely nothing drives the story apart from the interactions between the two main lovers. Also to call this an enemies to lovers would be insulting to that trope.

Started this without much expectations bc i needed a reminder on how to love and feel loved, been feeling very lonely these days. But i feel like this read is going to fix some parts of me that i didnt even know were broken. Only 40 something pages in and im think about this book all the time. Want people to talk about it cause its so simple yet so profound.

Guilty… im only reading this for whomever the legend the man the big boy is voicing kai in the audiobook. Had to take my break at work to go listen to the audiobook whenever i get to his pov in the book, atp u could say im obsessed. Also yea the book is great, nothing new, nothing impressive, the best way to describe is : if fourth wing and hunger games had less world building.
