Have you guys ever experienced “rubber-necking” when you literally cannot look away from a car accident as you slowly pass by? Bc that’s how I feel about this audiobook.

Okay, so it’s like really beautifully written and there’s a lot of very interesting layers butttttt the relationship between “chess” (🙄) and Emily is INFURIATING. Makes sense tho. Anyways, great audiobook.

Finally after borrowing it from Libby FIVE freakin times, I finished this one. Omggg - it wasn’t bad, necessarily. It just, didn’t capture me the way Schwab usually does. Also, I already love these characters, this book really kind of made them all seem lackluster and not who she created them to be originally. Sad.

For some reason, this one is taking me longer to get through than literally any other of her books.

It’s just as great as the rest of her books 🥲
