after reading that section, I feel some of the shame of not knowing what is happening in the country that my family is from.

I haven't read a narrative in so long, it feels so good to read something fictional for my enjoyment. Rainbow Rowell really draws you in. Definitely a good pick based on my experience with her run on Runaways. Shiloh and Cary feel like real people, and I can just drift away into the story.

I quite like the poetry translated in this book. Makes me want to learn Sanskrit so I can actually enjoy the originals.

The first third of this book is a rather interesting commentary on translating Sanskrit and the intricacies of the metre and verse that have to be left behind in certain ways because there is no comparable way to translate some verses in full.

This book has got to be older than my parents

Nevermind Shelley is my favorite. Ozymandias is an all timer poem and the rest of his works match up well too.

Honestly Lord Byron is my favorite of the romantics so far. We'll see if Shelley or Keats can beat him out.
