Uh, so i was wrong in the pronunciation, but so was she. So i can get over myself. For those that care, "hein-rish" is closest. Slight tongue roll with the "ri," "ch" like "cherish" or "wish." It's clear i havent taken german in like 20 years.

The author keeps calling him "hein-rich" instead of "hein-rick." While it is possible he went with this pronunciation, I feel that it is doubtful. It is going to drive me insane.

I am so used to books being done by now! At least it's enjoyable.

I am getting bored of this book. There are barely any descriptions of anything. She has 2 Victorian homes, and i know nothing. I am unfamiliar with portland, or so no images come right to mind. I know there is a gated courtyard, but like nothing else.

Also, what is a nubin? Is it like chandler bing's, a "wolf" thing or is it a weird descriptor?
