What an odd little world I’ve stepped into from reading this book. The way the author writes is so interesting. Kind of loving it, especially on Halloween. :)

This book is so full resonating content, I think it would be a good one to revisit over and over again.

This book doesn’t just explore racism or patriarchy in isolation, I can literally FEEL it peeling back the layers of how racism and patriarchy reinforce each other, especially through the weaponization of white femininity.

🎧✨ SUPER enjoying this one as a audiobook! 10 chapters in and hooked. Also realizing I am not and never will be a scientist - still a great listen without that so far!

Wow wow wow, only 100 years ago and it’s so important to understand the scale this movement took on, how easily people jumped on the eugenics bandwagon. Crazy. The movement mirrors today’s movements.

But the klan if the hearth and the Lord. It’s a clean organization, standing for the uplift and of protection of untainted Americanism.”
