slight(?) spoiler ahead but: plath has been using asian (particularly chinese) imagery and it's just making me rage because she uses to describe stereotypes of chinese people to ALWAYS describe something negative (i.e. "smudgy-eyed chinese" p. 18), while using chinese objects to describe something beautiful (i.e. 'china white' on p. 19).
