Finally on page 200 and I've realized two things.

One I don't really care for Camelot or anything King Arthur related.

Two this book is kind of changing my mind on Camelot.

I finally got the audiobook from my local library

Still not a big fan. I feel like it's a mix of the writing style and the execution of the book. We shall see though.

I'm already loving this book. Book One focused on the present and Lia. Book Two is giving us the context and backstory we needed for Adrian and Lia. At least so far. I'm intrigued to see how Rina will take this direction of the book series in the last one.

I'm almost done. But instead I'm watching Freedom Writers.

Rhys and Moira are so cute together. Then there's David. I am enjoying this book though. The characters are interesting and the world as a whole is giving me what I wanted from a dowry of blood. it's giving me a world. It's keeping me attentive and attached.

Not gonna lie. I'm not the biggest fan.

I'm already kind of in love with not only the world but the writing of this book. Venus is super interesting. It's very much a parallel of our world. Bethany Baptiste you are eating this up!!!

I won't lie. This kind of feels unnecessary. Like it adds context I feel like we were missing. That's about it

I need something a bit less dark and hopefully a lot less sad after LEIGH FUCKING RIVERS!!!!!

Holy shit this book is a lotttt more dark. Like there is Dark and then There is Like Black Hole No Light kind of dark. This is the latter. It's still good but only 8 chapters in and I'm like THE FUCK!???

What is it with FMCs in dark romance wanting to be chased through the woods or cemeteries???

It's fine. I'm hoping the plot will either really pick up or that we get more of this world in later books. Because. Yeahhhhhhhh

It's the age old question. Do I hate myself or did I not give it a fair chance? My goal is to make my way through Red Tower books. Mainly This, Wren in the Holly Library, and The Games Gods Play. To see if the Red Tower publishing imprint has good books. Maybe heaven breaker but idk
