"I am the monster they created. I’m the whore they’re ashamed of."

When life tried to break me I grabbed that b*tch by the throat and squeezed.
I thought I could overcome anything. I swore I could handle him, but after being forced to play at the Devil's playground I ended up craving his touch.

One taste of his poison made my loyalties begin to waiver.

descriptionI pretty much love anything that Natalie Bennett writes. Anyone that follows my reviews is very aware of that fact. I fangirl just about every book she writes and that I get the pleasure of reading and reviewing. And I will again be fangirling over this one. In fact, this may be my favorite Natalie Bennett book TO DATE. It was the same dark and twisted mindf-ckery that Miz Bennett is known for and then some...

and also plenty dark it makes no apologies for itself.
sickness and depravity reign here.
And as all are aware I absolutely love me a dark tale, the blacker the better.
I'm also a major sucker for a messed up dystopian landscape.
This book was made for me melding my love of dark romances against the backdrop of the Badlands.

Holy fuckin shit....

This was truly fucked up....

*laughing histerically*

And absolutely brilliantly sickening...

*now grinning maniacally*

And it ain't funny, people...BUT it's consistent in dark fucked up tone, maestrally written and twistedly pent up story of two broken, damaged misfits finding the twisted, messed up need for revenge against The Order, against the odds, against the dystopian, disfunctional world of destruction, anarchy and demolition...

WHOA. FUCK MEEEE. I can’t stop smiling. What kind of fuckery is this!? I giggled while people were dismembered and tortured. And I don’t feel bad about it at all. Fucking loved it actually. The Walking Dead (-zombies) + Natural Born Killers + True Romance x 1000. So bad. And SO HOT. This was one mouth watering bite of twisty sadistic sexy fucked up sandwich and I am starving for more....nom nom nom. 👅

Holy shit this book is hot as hell hands down. It is not for the faint of heart, this book is pretty graphic, and very tense. My heart way pounding with all the suspense. I'm seriously fanning myself over Romero🖤

The cliff is huge, so I'm definitely dying to find out what's HAPPENING!!!!

Thanks Natalie for another fantastic read, and for letting me read this early. You are absolutely amazing!

As a lover all things dark, Savages checked every box and probably more for me. Natalie Bennett brings it on, all except for an ending, but hey, I'm even fine with that for now. I was a little apprehensive to read this book, because I wasn't a huge fan of another Natalie Bennett dark series, UltraViolence. Maybe it's the super dark element this time around, or Romero is a character I hated to love...whatever it was, it worked for me. The book will be hard to review without spoiling t

Holy shit, what did I just read and why did it stop there!? O.M.G. So, hold on, before we get to the good stuff; KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS. Seriously, this book is dark, dirty and all around fucked up. That's all the "warning" you're getting from me. "There are no heroes to be found here, only monsters."

He was born sick.
I was fucked in the head.
Together, we were Savages.

Why did I wait so long to read this baby?
It’s totally MY kind of read that gives my dark, deviant heart the black fuzzies and makes me want more.

Thankfully, there is more ~ most of which I do not have to wait for ~ and I cannot wait to dive down that rabbit hole and get lost in it!

Well.... this one's hard to rate. This one's been tagged a few times as "dark", but I don't think it's dark so much as COMPLETELY FREAKING INSANE,VIOLENT and CRAZY. I spent the majority of this book shaking my head with my mouth hanging open. There was a whole lot of death and lost limbs... some very gruesome deaths. There's even a little cannibalism, satanism, and cults thrown in for good measure along with a fun game of Russian Roulette with a gun stuck up a vajayjay. I've read some crazy book ...more

Considering how desperate I am to start reading the second book in this series, I'll have to skip the review for now. Because DAMN... If you like dark, you need this book in your life.

This book was wild and crazy and left you with a hell of cliffhanger.

There is something about a dark, erotic, dystopian to get the wheels turning. Calista is one crazy chick. She reminds me a Harley Quinn and I think that might be on purpose. She is bold and has seen some bad things in her life. She is searching for retribution after she is left to die by the only family she has known. Living is something of a feat in this place and eventually she finds herself in the hands of the Devil.

I gave Savages 3.5 stars, but I wanted to give it a full 4. The plot and story were engaging, dark and twisty - my favorite!

Unfortunately, I had to deduct points due to editing and formatting issues. It was proofread but needs line editing badly. The formatting needs to be redone professionally, and have the highlighting on some words removed.

If the author gets both of those items done then rereleases I will gladly bump my rating to a full 4 stars and recommend it to others.

Holy fucking fuck.

This is not the kind of book I'd normally gravitate to, but I saw someone else's review and thought, "What the hell. Let's give this bitch a whirl."

Tilt-a-Whirl, more like. I was absolutely glued to SAVAGES from start to finish, and overall I really enjoyed it.

I've never read dark erotica. What a way to pop my cherry. I knew what the deal was up front, and my expectations were met. Romero is the devil (Is he? Or isn't he? I still don't know for sure). Calista is his seriously d

Oh my dayz. I have just had two awesome hours with the Savages. I sat and read it in one sitting. Unless there was an emergency I wasn’t putting this gem down for no one.

Calista and Romero. These two characters fitted so well, like a two piece jigsaw they were complete when together.

Savages is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time. Be warned it’s a dark, gritty and dirty read... everything I loved. If you love dark reads then I highly recommend you read this awesome story.

This is no typical romance book, the author it self warmn us that this is not a love story...

I had bad dreams after this book... Its gritty, violente, dark... But at the same time liberating and help us embrace our true selfs.

Both MC's are totally fucked Up!!!
**Stands up and claps**

One of the best dark books I've ever read. Natalie has a way around the Darkness that people are scared to actually write. She always takes it a step further. And that's why I'm so freaking obsessed with her and her writing. Her writing makes my soul smile knowing an author finally gets what I really need in a dark romance and isn't scared to go the extra mile. I can't wait for the next book. I need more from these characters, from this author.

Holy fucking hell!

Natalie is one of my automatic one clicks. She could literally just say hey I'm writing a book... and I would be all over it.

Savages is a very dark book, even by my standards. This is a story about Caliste and her desires, to find a man from her past and her very twisted love for certain things. Right from the beginning Natalie has us almost feeling sorry for her but that changed for me. She is no meek woman. When her needs take her to places she should run away from like a no
Wow, this book was one dark, messed up thrill ride! It's absolutely my favorite yet from Natalie Bennett!! It is brutal and violent and intense.
Calista and Romero are both dark and broken, and they recognize that in each other. Their demons play very well with each other!

One of my favorite quotes was "Beyond the excitement, beyond the lust, he gave my aching heart a place of comfort that I'd never known. This thing between us was certain death, all smoke and darkened skies with no sign of a sun

Another story I have no idea where to go with my review.

This is my first Natalie Bennett book, so I really had no idea what I was getting into. I read the blurb and thought I had an idea of what I was getting into. Nope.

This story is raw, nasty, gritty, messed up and so freaking awesome that I was upset when it was over. Savages is a story, unlike anything I have read. This is not a story about two people falling in love and having a hard time. Hell, I don't think anyone in this story has any i

Natalie Bennett brings the dark, and it's not just a sprinkling here and there, it's a full on dive into the depraved. This was one intense book which had me cringing but needing to know what's going to happen. If there's any triggers that may offend you, don't read this, but if you're like me and your little black heart thuds wildly for the darkness, ONE CLICK NOW!!!

Calista a.k.a "Cali" has a dark and twisted past. Being raised with a cult, she had to do things that no child should ever do. Four years later Cali is looking for her father. She's not the same little girl that they dumped four years earlier. Romero is known as "the devil" to everyone who's heard of him. Leader of the Savages, Romero is ruthless and anyone who deals with him ends up dead. Cali heard that Romero is also looking for her father and decides to join his group hoping to get

The world is no longer a happy, shiny place. It is dark and dangerous, pious and immoral. Religion is touted by some, but that religion hides betrayal and secrets.

Sick and twisted do not define just how this book is. It will definitely push boundaries and push readers to experience both the pleasure of pain of insanity.

Calista has lived a life that is beyond measure when it comes to boundaries being pushed and abuse. But all of her experiences h
Oh man, Natalie Bennett has written something that is just so twisted and totally just screws with your mind. At least, it totally screwed with mine.

Savages was exactly that, savage in what it did to me. I was left in a book hangover. I kept holding my breath to see what was going to happen next. In fact, I held my breath so often, I was afraid that I wouldn't survive to finish the book.

Calista grew up under the thumb of her father in a cult that he leads. After something particularly gruesome

Shameless author of twisted unconventional love stories.

Natalie has a penchant for (writing) villainous immoral men, and tends to deviate away from traditional happily ever afters.

When she isn't slaying words on multiple projects, she's hanging out in the sunshine state with her husband, their three boys, and her pit-bull named Lulu.
