The dad in this book is such a jerk. I really can't stand him.

This book is amazing!

If everyone (especially kings, tzars, etc.) in the world had listened to and taken to heart the things Alexander von Humblodt was saying in the early 1800's this world would be a much better place.

This book is crazy!!!!

When a book will stick with you forever because it gave you so much anxiety....

This man was amazing! Born in 1769, he was one of the first environmentalist to realize Europeans were destroying the planet. He also hated slavery and thought that it was a great evil. He stated it was a stain on every nation where it existed. He also though natives where not "savages" but that Europeans treatment of natives was extremely barbarous.

I'm going to be reading this for awhile. Over 1,100 pages

Wow, reading about coprophagy, and I'm thoroughly disgusted. Don't look this up if you don't already know what it is.

When the news is making you terrified, how about reading a way too descriptive vampire novel....

This book is giving me a visceral reaction. The descriptions are so gruesome.

Also I now have an extreme terror rats.
