A good readings, spooky stories, but told with some humour and a smooth style.

I've finished five ghost stories from The Pickwick Papers. Dickens had a wonderful way to tell horror stories, scary but not gory.

Read the first two novels. A good pace, very intriguing reading, suitable for Halloween or these dark evening.

Wow! There is a strange and disturbing chapter where Morpheus have to face a meeting of serial killers! Fantastic story! :)

An excellent audiobook to celebrate my Audible subscription! I read part of the comics time ago, now I'm enthusiastic to listen this audio version. A wonderful job, the voices in these first chapters crete an incredible atmosphere.

So we are at the '90 and the big trouble of the Marvel. I like to know all the facts around the company, but it take me so long to arrive to the end.

This is a slow reading, because there is all the story of the company and its employees. In these last chapters, the most focus is on the friction between them rather that on comics publishing or the challenge with competitor DC.

Marvel in the '80 had more or less the same problems of the past years, that cyclically return. Only influenced by the period and the human interactions inside the company.

It's like an encyclopedia of comics history, with description of authors, series and companies, with in-depth study of situations and rivalry.

The Marvel of the '70 looks more chaotic than ever.

Not exactly the Marvel that all the fans knew, but it's interesting to know all the dynamics and the people that made big that company.
The Part 1 finish with some facts about Jack Kirby and with a phrase that hit me: "the king was leaving Marvel".

A story of Marvel company and its most famous comics. Not bad, a little slow because there are so many details, data, names facts.

Finished Ch 53. Definitively a good horror story, as Jamie said in the beginning, but with a touch of thriller. I think Liz will give problem in the next chapters. :)

Finished ch21. I Like the way Jamie tell his story, often with some jokes, interpreting adults' behavior. I'm sure the story will bring many creepy situations.

Finished ch5: an interesting subject and a wonderful picture of a mother and son. I'm afraid of the next chapters.

In some moments, the real story is the one Billy are writing, his story. But also the story of two broken people, like he and Alice, that meet each other. Is a complex novel, but wonderful!

In this first part the story is more focused to describe the character of Billie, through his past and the way he takes on the assignment. It's not a fast pace and not the usual King's style, but I like it and I'm sure the patience will be rewarded.

Billy is a strange character: a killer, but also a man that likes to everyone. This looks the story of his life in the present, but also his past and the life he could live. So far, a wonderful novel, even though not the usual King's novel!

The first part is more descriptive, Billy is starting the life of "Dave" and familiarize with the town. But it's an easy reading and well written.
