Bakunin is finished with Rembrandt
Even though I am more interested in the works of Rembrandt, it is nonetheless of interest to read a biography of him. This work also contains an analysis of his work and how the earlier masters inspired him.

James E Loehr is a psychologist and coach who writes about how athletes can motivate themselves. Rather than adding pressure, the most successful athletes enjoy the game and are thereby highly energized. They win when they are playing by instinct. The book contains many great tips to reach this mental toughness needed to stay positive.

These memoirs, written in the 70's, paint a picture of the intellectual landscape which formed Erlanders thinking. He was inspired by the social democrat Ernst Wigforss and Swedens perhaps most famous economist, Kurt Wicksell. His world view can be summarised as follows: government needs to be stronger in order to unite the common interest of the people. In practice this social democracy leads to corporativism.

The memoirs of the longest serving prime minister of Sweden. A bit dull and gray but its still worth reading to find out his thoughts on the political development of the swedish welfare state. This part is concerned mainly with his education and upbringing.

Interesting work on language; it does a good job of explaining the logical positivist position. Ayers position can in some ways be summarised by the following words: "There is no field of experience which cannot, in principle, be brought under some form of scientific law [...]"(page. 32)

In this book Rothbard writes the history of the US from a libertarian perspective, arguing mainly that the american revolution was in no way a conservative one, instead a truly libertarian rebellion against government. Notwithstanding the length of the work, it is an interesting read.
