I want to remind myself about Bill grabbing and bruising Sookie's arms when he was trying to fight with Sam.

I want to remind myself of the victim blaming they did to Tara.

I want to remind myself that the big reveal about who the sniper was a bit predictable.

I don't understand why Sookie is judging this woman who's in an abusive relationship with a vamp, the victim blaming is disgusting.

also, after having read two amazing books about young women getting revenge (Iron Widow & The Blood Trials), this falls flat. Like, I know the main premise is not about her getting revenge but the story quickly becomes that and it just falls flat compared to those other two books. I'm assuming there's a cliff hanger because this is book 1 of an unknown number. This cliff hanger needs to be amazing !

The beginning of this book was really interesting and the end is finally getting interesting.

Listen, this book has a big gap (45% of it) where nothing really happens. The main characters are one dimensional so it's hard to give a damn about any of them. I also hate slow burn and that is def what this is. With so many people giving this 4 and 5 stars, I honestly feel disappointed

2. Yamato has a secret that will change the course of the relationship
3. Suna picks an "out of sale" rare book up from the bookstore
4. The guys start discussing "dark pasts" and deciding which of them has had one

Just to remind myself what I've read so far. I'm in a bit of pain so I'm reading a lot slower than I normally do and I have ADHD so it's hard to remember right away. RTC!

So Yamato reveals a secret that's going to change the course of their relationship, alright. I'm not crying, my eyes are just itchy!
