Having a favorite color/design is a "defining aesthetic tic" now? I know it's probably just the character's thoughts but...

I'm surprised that it suddenly ended, but... let's just say I have no words for how heart-wrenching and thought-provoking this was.

If this was a fiction book, I'd think, "The plot is so ridiculous. Talk about unrealistic!"

But we're in the Philippines, and I'm Filipino. So yup, this is real. Very real.

I'm only 20 minutes into this book and my sight's already blurry with tears. Wish me luck.

World War Z (2013) is one of my favorite films of all time (I watch it at least once or twice a year!) so I'm also kinda surprised why it took me so long to start reading the book it's based on.

This book has been one of the most amazing non-fiction books I’ve read in my life. I’m only at 93% but I can already feel a huge perspective shift.

I’ve been reading this book these past few days and I’ve never felt so called out and yet so validated probably my entire life. :(

Okay. I know what my problem is. My problem is that the MC is 30 but she doesn’t act 30. She acts like a high schooler. And the story itself is treated like a high school mystery. That’s my big problem with this book.

I’m definitely not fond of this narrator.

Ugh, the narrator is basically a 30-year-old high school girl who gets infatuated with every single cute boy she meets.

Another error. It said 17 earlier, then 16 a few paragraphs later. Did she age backwards? 🤷🏻‍♀️

And this isn’t suspicious at all?!

So… there are like 2 whole pages telling us that she’s scared, but the last chapter didn’t really have anything that was actually scary… Maybe show, don’t tell?

Cringe. This book just can’t stay focused on the mystery part, huh.

It’s starting to feel more like a preteen book. Maybe YA. Idk. Why does it feel so not-serious? 😭

I have no idea what they’re talking about. My ex is Korean. We were together for years, and I’ve been to his house and with his family as well. There’s no distinct stinky body smell caused by their food. Kimchi by itself may have a strong scent, but although they had a separate fridge dedicated to it, I never smelled it on them. 🤷🏻‍♀️
