This is my second time reading this and I'm soaking up every single word again. Books like this make me never want to waste time on mediocre books ever again.

UGH!!!! I've been reading this for nearly two months. Do you know how frustrating that is? Why don't I like it? Maybe b/c it is borrrrring. So tragic, considering Strayed's Tiny Beautiful Things is one of my all time favorite books. All time.

Don't judge. I was pretty embarrassed to even put this book on here ... but looks like a lot of my friends have given it great reviews too, ha.

So I've only just read the prologue but I had to make note of this: BEST DAMN PROLOGUE I've ever read.

i can't read 5 pages of this without wanting to cry. sometimes ... i read 5 pages and then lie back and close my eyes and hold the book close to my chest and just breathe in deeply. it's amazing.

started last night ... halfway through ... it pains me to walk away. PAINS ME. this book is so engaging, holy man.

This is my favorite Tropper novel so far. Every line -- so so good!!!!

Bah! This book is taking me forever. It's not what I expected, but very good. Super well-researched and foot-noted, haha.

I am just loving this so far. Thanks to my friend, Adam, for suggesting I try David Mitchell again (couldn't get through the first chapter of Cloud Atlas), and that I start with this book. Way good ... so full of humor and poetic lines. Can't wait to finish and attack the rest of Mitchell's work (again).

Still truckin' along on this one. I only have it on my iPhone, so I just dabble in it little by little. Like, in line at the post office.

Oh yeah yeah, I'm gonna LOVE this one.

This is so disappointing so far! As much as I prefer contemporary and post-modern english language literature from fresh voices ... I still prefer the "old" (35+ year old) spanish language novelists.
