I think the Western (tbh I just mean white tho) digestion of dharma practices often leans towards dismissing and invalidating anger rather than leveraging or even truly releasing it. Often the encouragement of passivity and acceptance makes no sense, or harms you, if you're angry. Luckily Lama Rod is a wise Black man so his relationship between anger and his spiritual practice is not that way. Very good so far.
