4. Crabbe displays a heretofore never-suggested independent streak and contempt of Malfoy. 5. Despite being well-known as an idiot and a brute some moron has entrusted Crabbe with a ridiculously OP fire magic spell. 6. Self-same spell can apparently destroy Horcruxes, though this has never been hinted at before. Just so MUCH Deus ex Machina; well at least it's exciting.

This chapter was very poorly written: 1. Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle just HAPPENED to be standing outside the Room of Requirements for no reason. 2. Crabbe and Goyle have somehow mastered the supposedly advanced Dissolution Charm. 3. The notoriously trollish C&G keep pace with Harry as he's tearing around the RoR and he doesn't hear them following. (cont.)

Huzzah! I managed to get through Ron being a jerk, the pointless wandering, and Harry obsessing over Hallows; it's all downhill from here

It's a shame Harry didn't become pen pals with Moody, he'd totally have been on board with Harry's "Malfoy is a Death Eater" theory and have been giving him practical advice on how to pursue his investigation so he wasn't making so many mistakes.

finally motivated myself to get past Harry being stupid on the train, not his best moment, still better than the sectumsempra fiasco, but...

"Jackson had never understood why the bridge wasn't buried deeper in the ship," me too... always drives me nuts in scifi when the command bridge of a warship is sticking out from the hull where it's easier to target and has big 'ol windows, like those serve any purpose when you're fighting an enemy who's literally thousands of miles away.
