I have no idea how I’m going to rate this book, I have no real criticism for any of the concepts or anything really, nothing is really wrong with it, and it’s a tour through classic horror topics. But it’s just so flat and boring to me

The title story is decently interesting so far

Well this story was pretty boring, onto the next

The first two pieces were okay, nothing I was severely missing from my life but a pleasant read (listen), this third one is panning out kind of boring so far though (despite me being a big Edgar Allen Poe fan)

Started reading General Veterinary Pathology by Dr. And it Kardeván (trans. Dr. Imre Sári) (Budapest 1994), it’s internally published by the uni so not on goodreads but the total pagecount is 403.

So this book is a lot more cultural anthropology than I expected but you know what. I think that’s a sign that I need more anthropology in my life

My cousin is going to japan in March to study economics there, so I have no choice but to study Japanese economics first to maintain my position as the superior cousin

Started reading one of my pathology textbooks (internally published by the uni so not on goodreads) because it’s on my list to make sure I don’t fall behind during my gap semester and only like 140 pages. so I thought it would be a quick one before the end of the year. Huge mistake lmao I want to drop out even harder now, guess I gotta pick up something to heal the burnout instead of worsen it 🥲

All I’m getting from this cod chapter is that I should have skipped straight to mark kurlansky’s book rather than wasting my time with this one

I think I’m going to end up DNF-ing this book

Still getting weird bovines from the narration and a good 20% of this could have been cut during editing

There are bits in here that are interesting but I’m NOT vibing with the author’s style, to an almost comical degree

Wow I do not care even 1% about the author’s childhood fishing exploits, we better get more scientific fast or I’m gonna be upset
