Forever baffled by the use of the term “Magyars”, probably I’m missing some kind of English-language historical convention because I’ve only been spoken to about Hungarian history in Hungarian but im confident you can just say Hungarians for the whole history. Also the correct plural is magyarok and the audiobook narrator cannot pronounce the gy sound at all 😭

I love Urt, he was all like “monsters are eventually going to come annihilate humanity, I must do something about this… hey guys do you want to learn how to fight the monsters” and when the humans were like “yeah that sounds like something we should do” his solution was to unleash some of the monsters early so that people could practice 💀💀💀

This book has been exciting but I’m concerned about the feeling I’ve had ever since the end of the last book that victory is increasingly hollow even if the protagonists achieve it, which is just depressing and demotivating
