I was interested in reading this book because I had attended the opening, closing and the Vancouver sessions. I’m also reading the book as the daughter of a survivor so it’s an interesting way to consume the history for me. I’ve met and had breakfast with commissioner Wilson and she is a lovely person.

These women are incredible. A good acknowledgment about the lack of diversity in the caravan.

I’m so grateful that Ma Nee wrote this memoir. It’s such an important document of being an Indigenous woman in Canada and in our communities particularly one who is a lesbian. The level of abuse she has gone through and the levels in which she’s raised herself are incredible.
