Still interesting. Not a whole lot to say about it, since there's no overarching plot or anything, but it's definitely entertaining.

This book is very, very good, even if it's not written for children, per se. I'm a little disappointed in Applegate for that part. But she makes up for it by being really, really good at this whole writing thing.

This isn't a bad book, but I'm finding myself wondering whether or not kids would be interested by it. I probably wouldn't have had the patience, anyway.

Okay, so when I said I was shipping Oliza and Betia, I didn't realize that this book contained homosexuality. But now that I do... oh, god, Atwater-Rhodes, you're a wonderful person.

ANGST! This is a very angsty book. But it's not rushed anymore, so I'm good.

Tessa Gratton is a VERY good writer. I can see why people like her.

Well, only a single chapter left. Overall, this book wasn't bad - certainly better than The Good Earth. Dickens is a phenomenal writer, and although I'm not very interested in the plot, I'm glad I read this book.

I gotta say, I liked Skovran's story, but I wasn't a big fan of this last one; too much slut-shamming.

That was a really, really big coincidence. I know coincidences are kind of Dickens's thing, but that was big, even for him.

Beth Revis: Didn't disappoint a bit.
Kate Espy: Really, really terrible.
Carrie Ryan: About as good as her stories get, for me.
Jon Skovran: I'm not done with it yet, but it's shaping up to be the best story in the anthology.

Y'know? I think I'll read A Christmas Carol after this. Dickens is a great writer, and he writes interesting characters, but this plot is so uninteresting to me; ACC is a lot more interesting.

Thank god I'm done with Brennan's story. Ugh. But next we have BETH REVIS, who I'm very excited about. I've heard lots of great stuff about Across the Universe.

And now I'm bored again. Dickens can't consistently engage me.

I really like the discussions of race here. Larbalestier isn't afraid to seem racist to people who don't see the honesty in what she writes about, and that makes the writing so much stronger.

Sarah Ree Brennan's writing is characteristically awful. There's a REASON I hated Demon's Lexicon.

This is a lot more engaging than it was before. Maybe it's just part 2 that was really slow.
