It's not often I can tell I'm going to love a book before I read even 10% of it, but this book is incredible! I did read the novelette version of this story in The Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year, Vol. 11, so I already had a pretty good idea I'd like this, but the novel is really incredible.
I've already recommended this book to two different people, one of whom doesn't really do fantasy, so we'll see.
