I was going to stop reading around pg. 100. Just because the material feels sad and dark and the vibe was fading. Why are booktok books always sad? Anyway, It kept looking at me from its nearby stack so I said okay let's just finish it.

I'm feeling positive about this story so far.. really grasping onto the very slight black mirror vibe this book gives however I am worried it will become sad girl fodder soon. Again, this is the last booktok rec I'm taking for a while.

Umm this girl really just said she killed all the dogs. Continuous trauma dumping.

I was really feeling trauma dumped on for a while there. It seems like it's picking up a bit or about to but the sad girl fodder is very apparent.

Also like is she incapable of being direct with someone and asking for a clear answer. It's not a good look tbh.

I'm still trying to figure out what the hype is. The setting seems nice. The main character keeps trauma dumping.

I'm so excited to read this YA novel. I was obsessed with teen mom and 16 and pregnant as a teen so im curious what this fiction piece will be like.
