You have a newborn. You’re tired. I get it. But do we have to be told over and over again?!? Feels like 50 times a chapter.

Enjoying the book with one caveat. Ms Slaughter isn’t new to this book writing caper. I’m beyond irritated that she couldn’t be bothered getting her facts straight about spinal cord injury. It’s not that difficult to find out.

Not sure I’ll be able to finish this book. Imagine being Drew - born into a family where NOTHING matters except his sister’s gymnastics.

Not sure I’m going to be able to finish this book. OK but slow up to halfway. Now it’s just gone completely to poo. However, I will press on, in the hope of improvement.

This book needs a dramatis personae. At the beginning of every new chapter I had to pause, gather my thoughts about who the current narrator is and how he/she relates to the others.

It's exhausting and makes for very disjointed reading. I pressed on, waiting patiently for the various threads to come together. When they did, finally, I found myself ineffably disappointed.
