I really appreciate that Saeris faced the climax all by herself, no one running to her rescue. That actually makes me like this book a whole lot more.

I wish I was enjoying this more. I don't enjoy the tension between Saeris and Fisher (which is BARELY THERE except when they're horny and then it's at 110%). I don't like the worldbuilding. I don't like the politics. I'm only finishing it because I have it on audiobook and it's being read to me, and I REALLY want to understand the hype. Sometimes you have to read the whole book to 'get it' so I'm not quitting.

I guess there are worse things you could do than fuck your ex-husband's hot boss that you've only met a couple of times raw in the woods.

I'm enjoying this, it's nice seeing Zander and Charlie supporting each other. Kinda thought according to the blurb the 'trip going wrong' bit would have happened earlier, but I'm still anticipating what it could possibly be. We've had numerous opportunities so far, so I'm keen to see where Noni's mind takes us.

The anticipation is building, though I'm pretty sure I already know the plot twist. Not that that's a bad thing! The author's made it pretty clear. But she got me in a previous series with a double plot twist, so I'm kind of hoping I might be wrong, or there will be another double plot twist.

I'm enjoying this so much. Something about the mouthy girl and the big grumpy guy gets me.

I think I'm enjoying this more than the previous one. More build up.

I swear this book must be the equivalent of The Emperor's New Clothes because I hardly see ANYONE talk about just how poorly written it is from a technical standpoint. Like, the author could have dictated it and not understood a thing about grammar and punctuation in clean up, not to mention the word choices, and just the sheer quality of prose is so poor. I'm still struggling to understand why it's so popular.

This her-present/his-past thing isn't working for me, kind of defeats the purpose of having dual POV if we only get one side of the relationship at a time. I'm really hoping there's a good twist reason for this being dual POV or past/present split to make me change my mind, I'm open to it!

I'm genuinely enjoying this, I've just noticed a pattern of the sex scenes not having much sensory or emotional descriptions, so I have no idea how Skylar feels during them, and because of that, they feel a little paint by numbers.

There is far more stuff about weddings than I thought there would be, even after reading the blurb. Unfortunately, I'm just not that interested in wedding planning.

There is no reason why these two haven't banged yet. They nearly have twice, and stopped for no reason. We didn't even see the alleged argument after the second time they stopped. Probably because the author realised it was forcing them for manufactured drama and couldn't write it because it felt so unnatural.
That being said, I adore these two and I'm invested, plus the audiobook narrators are brilliant.

Ryan manages to be super cute and adorable at the same time as being really fucking hot and the hot kind of dominant. THIS is how you write cinnamon rolls (and Jake from the last book). I LOVE Rath's good boys so damn much.

I am so confused because Sky tells Ethan 'I didn't have sex this morning' but... she totally did? Like, not penetrative sex but, that was definitely sex. Am I missing something? Do dark romance readers consider everything but penetration with the D 'not sex'? Can someone educate me, I have no idea what's going on.

Although I think it's a bit odd that Skye essentially moved in with 4 boys she doesn't know, I do kind of like the way Atlas has gently claimed her and they're kind of just creeping into a relationship without either of them talking about it. I kind of like that.

Turns out that invulnerable, overpowered main characters who can easily destroy their enemies are VERY BORING.

I like these boys already. I was expecting more dark romance. These boys are respectful AF.

All other women either support Olly or are manipulative bitches, gotcha.
