As a student, I thought these short stories were pointless, and I hated reading books that any school forced on us. 'Forced' was how I felt because I hated reading books. Now I get to laugh along with the characters and appreciate Dahl's cheeky narratives.

Just finished William and Mary. Reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft for a reason. Couldn't stop laughing by the end. One character surely received his comeuppance

We are introduced to Raskolnikov in a hypochondriac state, avoiding social contact and thinking about committing an unspecified act, which he considers himself incapable of committing it. He's very contemptuous of the people living in his neighbourhood. Over the last few days, he has been seriously thinking of performing this unspecified act while on his way to an old pawnbroker, later scoffing at the act at a saloon

This is my first time reading Kay. Not sure whether this book was the right pick, as everyone seems to recommend reading Tigana or Al-Rassan. But what I'm sure about is the opening of this book. The theft of a horse as revenge against the protagonist's overlord. That is original!

Well this is a very complicated situation.

I think I'll be spending more time reading Kurt Vonnegut Jr books. This is a beautiful book
