If I had to imagine travelling back to the middle ages this looks to be what I would do. But there's a twist it's not Earth's middle ages I'm visiting but another world undergoing its own middle age period.

While I still think this is a great book, I've only managed to read 100 pages in the last weeks. That's usually bad news, but there's something in Wilbur Smith's writing that piques my interest. What is the mystery of the lost Phoenician city? What are those broken sunbirds?

The Sunbird is slowly picking up. Mysterious things are happening. It does feel like King Solomon's Mines and Indiana Jones

First, I'll try to read this with an open mind. Second, this book was given to me by a friend who knows my passion for reading. Three, they asked whether I liked it. Truthfully, I wasn't planning on reading it. But I hate to disappoint a said friend. Fourth, I have never been interested in the English Monarchy. That out of the way, 11 pages in, I now understand why verbal communication is vital to any relationship.
