it bothers me that
1) we get a handwave exposition paragraph of wylan reuniting properly with his mother in kaz's pov
2) kaz somehow manages to know EVERYTHING
3) pekka and jan, who can be arrogant men despite their age and experience, are so easily fucked over

sometimes i find kaz to be utterly unbelievable, especially when he has a quip for everything

and i like him as a character 🤔

matthias' death is so stupid, but inej encouraging nina to have matthias hear her bless him and say goodbye is so beautiful

matthias and that druskelle boy confrontation was the most unemotional thing i've read. surely he would have more feelings about it? but the language is just like "👍🏽 yeah cool this kid believes kuwei is dead" and "👍🏽 he can still be reached".

i know what happens next to matthias and even though he's had fuck all to do, it's shit.

so jesper just conveniently had the weevil in his pocket? i don't remember him taking it. why does bardugo not leave these crumbs earlier? it always feels like a cheap solution to a problem when these guys conveniently have something or did something that we never got to see before the problem arrived.
