this is genuinely very confusing

picking this up again even though where I left off was boring because
1. I own this book so I feel obligated to finish it
2. I heard it gets kind of dark (cult stuff??) and that sounds interesting

mixed feelings about the end because it made me lowkey hate Rin please give her a redemption arc actually can you come back from genocide I don’t think you can; it got super dark near the end kind of scary; pacing was wack sometimes but the story has me pretty invested; Rin needs to have motivations other than revenge in the next book plz; anyway my compliments to the chef 🧑‍🍳 ily rfk

lol wtf; had really high expectations because Kat gave it 5 stars and the synopsis seemed really interesting; something about the writing just didn’t pull me in I don’t like style; it was really creepy but other than that I just didn’t really find it super enjoyable; super edgy but not much else going for it :| all the characters except the mc didn’t even feel real; therapist and neighbor were both weird

weird how this is a series that gets progressively better instead of worse; liked how this one was way less 💦😩🍆 and SLOWER BURN bc I do not like when there’s not much buildup :)) the characters were the most likeable here Zaf and Red are 😐 meh but JACOB 👁👁 hello there; also what happened to the gingerbread competition lol

I really liked that one chapter with the old man before he went to war other than that it was kind of dry from an entertainment standpoint; even though it's a school book and that's not what it's about I WILL RATE IT BASED ON MY PERSONAL ENJOYMENT ok cool; trying to go back to reading rn but I'm distracted by manga :(
