Finally picking this up again

Well, I'm about to begin this one...it's been sitting on my shelf now for who knows how long

Wow, just finished the Intro and I'm already beyond shook. This is on track to be one of my favorite philosophical/poetic pieces.

Also, did Arendt get inspired by or straight up copy Cesaire? This came out in 50' and Origins was published in 51'. Origins also broaches the topic of fascism arising out of imperialism, though I already anticipate Cesaire's perspective on this to be more well thought out.

Definitely one of my weirder reads of 2020 so far

I think I probably need to read Kant and Nietzsche soon even tho I’ve been putting it off. I will say, Arendt explains Kant so clearly!

I read the prefaces and the section on Imperialism and now I’m skipping to the last third of the book where she discusses totalitarianism. Will return to the section on anti-Semitism and the Dreyfus Affair etc at a later point
