One of the many reasons my wife hates this book (and both mini-series) is because how political it is.

I read this book more than 25 years ago. I forgot that I liked the book, but is it awful long. Very political and twisty, which the mini-series did a decent job of portraying.

I read this book last back in the late '80s. I might have a hardback copy somewhere in this house. I found the first mini-series to be meh, but the remake mini-series was really good and stuck closer to the book.

I liked the first book in this series. I do see why some people have problems with the fact that the main character is bi-sexual.

This is the first "romance" series my wife got me to read. I fell in love with the series, and THEN my wife tells me its written by a romance writer. I love police procedurals. Sitting in a Bradley IFV reading romance novels resulted in some interesting conversations with my platoon mates.

I noticed that when reading several of these Super Secret Squirrel books, that this book gets referred to frequently. Picked it up from my local library.

This author has written some of the best Regency-era wordporn and smut in our collection. We've (the wife and I) both read this author's books. The author is a bit inconsistent as some of the stories are better than others. YMMV

Surprisingly good for a fantasy dragon riding harem book. Interesting characters with a well-detailed world is what keeps me reading this series. Hope there is a #3.

I was expecting a rip off of Dragonriders of Pern but have been pleasantly surprised at how decent this book is (so far). YMMV

Since reading the Gray Man series, I've been interested in the CIA's Ground Branch. After reading how twisted SEAL team 6 became and how several of the somewhat moral-ambiguous former team members went to Ground Branch.

I've read and collected quite a few books on writing. I wonder if this is like gold mining - there was more steady money to be made selling mining gear than actually mining. I wonder if the authors make more money on their "how to" books than they do as an author.
