Shortest story by Palmer Pickering completed, Blood Fire. Interesting concept but seemed like it was narrated by an emotionless robot. Felt nothing for the characters and there was no tension.

Finished Thiago Abdalla’s short story. This was the longest yet, a demon hunter adventure that packs a punch. Enjoyed it but so help me if there’s one more author in this Advent that has a gut wrenching father-daughter dynamic and I’m only 6 stories in so far… haha

I hear this is where the series really starts taking off and that has me excited! Especially since I thoroughly enjoyed Grave Peril.

Very close now. Pace and my interest has definitely picked up after the 60% mark. Looking forward to the end!

Enjoyed Karim’s story. His opening hook had me and I just had to keep reading!

Finished Frosted Embers by L.L. MacRae. This was a fun action-packed story heavy on world building and lore crammed into a short story. I really enjoyed it and would love to read more from this world!

Excited to read this final chapter of the Skyward series! It’s been a blast so far and I always look forward to series ends with Sanderson.

First short story by Cal Black: The Patchskin Woman. Dark fairytale style. It was a solid quick story. I’m really intrigued to read these as we go. Love the idea of this project with some big name and other lesser know indie writers.

Well this just got dark and bleak… really the whole book has. Should be a thrilling finish!
