Wow… that was shocking… beginning of the end here and I will say this, Philip doesn’t pull any punches or follow a standard format. You truly don’t know who will survive or what will happen.

Finished the siege chapter, a 125 page beauty of the most brutal combat to this point in the series. Not for the faint of heart but a masterpiece nonetheless. I love the Malazan soldiers and their banter and humor. Wow, what a chapter!

End of Part Three. Book is picking up the pace and took a few unexpected turns. Really curious to see how the final Part goes and how this ends with the different threads.

Forgot how long it takes for this book to get good. It’s been fun to see the foreshadowing on this re-read for the twists that caught me off guard.

Wow… this siege may be the most brutal combat I’ve read to this point in this series… this is CRAZY!

One thing I love about how Erikson writes battles, he does a good job of showing both sides’ confidence in what will happen or is happening so you truly don’t know how it will end or who will win. All bets are off!
