The premise is interesting but I'm having a hard time caring about the characters. Zoey's voice is annoying. She seems to fake it a lot. I know we've all faked sometimes, but this is frustrating. There's a self-centered-ness about the tone of this book that I find tedious. I will try and read the second book to see if Zoey gets over herself, and to see if the story and mythology are expanded upon. To be continued!

I understand myself and a lot of other people better. I am fascinated by everything I've read thus far and I feel, for lack of a better term, additionally validated on top of what I have already personally validated about myself. My favorite chapter right now-and I am not the type to have a favorite chapter in any book-is Chapter 10: The Communication Gap: How to Talk to Members of the Opposite Type.
