I think this book will live up to its title :D

I've been hooked from the first page and don't want to stop reading

This book is giving me Stieg Larsson's "Sweden is pretty fucked up" vibes and I love it. (No hard feelings, I really like Sweden! ;D)

OUCH, that was a very very VERY painful thing to read about, especially as a male reader :D

That first part was really dragging D:

HOLY SHIT, this is definitely not what you would normally expect from a book with a "YA thriller" label. It might not be as bloody as an adult thriller but for me it was just as addictive as a Chris Carter or Cody McFadyen novel - in fact I actually even feel like this was the thriller the 5th Smoky Barrett book should have been. WOAH.

I still can't believe that I've found a YA thriller series that is SO addictive

I already like the Las Vegas setting and that Sloane finally gets more attention

This reminds me so much of LOST that I can't help waiting for the polar bear and the black smoke to appear :D

No romance (yet) and compared to the first book there's now even a point of view from outside the island - really enjoying this so far!

Still not sure what to think about this, I definitely enjoyed "Vicious" more than this one...

It's funny how they still call it the "Sebastian Bergman series" when he's the only person that hardly does ANY case-related work :D

None of the many side plots is boring and it's still interesting to learn new things about the different characters but the actual case is so painfully slow, I really wish the investigation would get more attention

The second book in this series was already super thrilling but this third one is just impossible to put down

This feels a little bit like a mix of "Homeland" and "Prison Break" with suspense on almost every page, a really good thriller so far!

This book has suddenly become extremely addictive over the past 100 pages!

For my liking there really could me more police work in this story
