Parts of this felt a bit like reading a Hunger Games fan fiction with mermaids but this was surprisingly addictive and I think I'm going to read the sequel, too - who would've thought... :D

This is surprisingly good and the title definitely didn't promise too much :D

Starting the big Dan Brown marathon to get in the mood for the upcoming Inferno movie! :)

I have no idea why I'm even reading a story about mermaids or what to expect from it but I just can't resist a book that has "massacre" in its title XD

I seriously can't understand how just one single person can say that this is Stephen King's best book, this is definitely my least favorite so far. (Okay, maybe the first Dark Tower book was even more boring^^)

A very unique, addictive and weird thriller. I absolutely loved the first half but felt like the big WOW moment came a bit too early, so that the middle part was a bit dragging until the last third of the book had me hooked again.

I find it a bit annoying that the author is throwing so many scientific expressions at my head without really explaining them but this book is SO addictive!

What the hell is going on?

I quickly fell in love with the weird atmosphere, the interesting setting and the diverse characters and even though the story was rather slow-paced I enjoyed every chapter of this novel

Now the wait for book 5 begins (again)

I already loved the first two books but this one was even better. I can't wait for the next one!

#SmokyIsBack - This undercover mission is really exciting! And also disturbing :D

I miss the banter a little bit but I also really like the dark atmosphere of this story

#SmokyIsBack - They have to stop eating waffles, pancakes, eggs and bacon every other chapter, not being able to join them is killing me more than all the pain and violence :D

#SmokyIsBack - I haven't read this one yet so I'm even more excited for this one than for the re- reads of first three books in this series!

I think Kirby is my new favorite character XD

Impatiently waiting for 108-year-old Mother Abigail to die because SHE'S. SO. BORING.

It's been "too many characters, too little plot" for quite a while now and now we even get to read about the POV of a 108-year-old lady. That doesn't look like we're going back to more action soon...

Going to tackle this intimidating 54-hour-long audiobook monster now - but I'm already super excited to listen to my favorite narrator for such a long time \o/

Absolutely worth the re-read, now I can't wait to read the next book!
