Clara Thomas herself was a marvelous, profoundly astute writer. I am glad to be reading both these women's words in concert.

Just the summary of the top ten lessons this book teaches and the introductory pages have changed my life for the better. Needless to say, I recommend it as a positive gem for everyone to learn from. It is nice to know it was written by a Winnipeg bladder health specialist!

Clara Thomas is a wonderful writer and I love learning much more about Jean Margaret Wemyss Laurence than I have known until now.

Richard Palmisano composes great paranormal books in Canada. He does not recycle hyped up bits of worn out legends. He interviews and visits people's true, current experiences at their homes or workplaces. Modern events in our own country make these much more relatable and interesting than what is usually published.

I have put this aside to read since I read the first volume years ago. I will consider it a coup to complete Richard Palmisano's series. I think I have two books left.

Oh, gosh, I am going to have to give up Simone St. James if she is an authoress who doesn't add an S to "backwards" and "towards"!!!! Where was her editor generally? EVERY time rain is mentioned, she goes on about dripping, coats, or hoods more than mystery details. We need the ambiance of FEELINGS more than body gestures ALWAYS. Finally, using a US location doesn't mean chucking our vocabulary and spelling, gee!

These would be higher calibre gems if Simone St. James set her books in our own country. Some of our least known towns did wonders for "Corner Gas" and "Schitt's Creek". There is enough about New York and American states. However, I'm glad she creates 'paranormal mystery'. I especially commend her for modernizing them. Never mind compounding the novels about war or the past. Let our generation encounter ghosts!

I have looked forward to reading this for years and was elated to find a mint condition copy at Awesome Books a few years ago. Now, I snuggle in to read about an empty woman, sailing to answer her questions about her Mother. Although I am always angered by the stupid idea of parents not detailing heritage for children and themselves not demanding answers, this is the gratifying, emotional, non crime mystery I love.

Our compassion is immediately with Brooke Shields from her first page and our investment in hers & Chris' success is firm. It is a shame that while striving to conceive a baby in California, her Dad was fighting with the same fertility drugs as her, terminal prostate cancer in Florida. My Mom had heard of her book with great respect and would have been excited to read it, since I just came across a secondhand copy.

The first chapter is charmingly clever. The next childhood memory is sassily resourceful. Then somehow at age 21, Chelsea jumped into a drunk driving arrest and pilfered Sister's identification, resulting in jail time! This story collection of 2008 is not for the feint of heart.
