You guys. I was in my car SOBBING on my way to work today. This may not have been the best choice for my YA audio. Blubbering, I tell you.

The prose is ridiculously detailed in this magnificent manner that doesn't attack your brain, but rather whispers images to life. Also. Those sirens and Sea Witch Momma are terrifying. You don't know hangry until you read about a siren that needs a human heart stat.

The POV switcheroo in chapters is a but odd yeah? Since first person isn't used. The language is syrup, tho. Oh where shall it all go?

Just started it this morning. Quick and engrossing. Believable.

Retelling of Jane Austen's Persuassion? Yes please.

I'm not lovin this so far. Before I Die was completely original: strong female lead, no love triangle, original paranormal story. But here...well quite frankly I'm kinda bored.

So I'm really diggin the email correspondence. Definitely real. But Lincoln? Dude he grates my nerves.

Hate coming back to a series when it's been forever since I read the first one. Slowly getting into the groove. Revenants are still the coolest.

Also how old is Lincoln suppose to be??

Sorta tired of the narrative swap (again). Also I'm afraid the turn of the story is getting a wee bit far fetched.

I really love unreliable and crazy protagonists.

Pretty obvious where this book is going, but the leading man is dreamy and I'm in the mood for some romance.

Ugh. She decides to have the weight loss surgery for a boy? And what happened to the family discussions??

Good sign when protagonist is bookish. AND a shout out to John Green. Also might have to check out Red Tent since it was also mentioned...
