With everything going on in the world right now, what do soldiers do overseas when there is a pandemic like this?

Why did the author decide to go through the minds of the soldiers, what about the drill sergeants? (Writers strategies)

When the author tells stories he doesn’t tell them in the person’s experience POV, he tells it like hows how receiving it. Does this add more suspense? Whats the point of this?

When the author was talking to a fellow navy seal he was saying how he got shot in the elbow and had to swim for hours and wasnt rescued until days later. It just amazes me on how he has the will power for that. How does someone dig that deep?

How does someone create a training course that is so rigorous and intense? Does it accumulate over time? Or how does it work?

Why did the writer choose to start the booking in a completely different setting instead of picking up where the last book left off?

In the beginning of the book they mention this place to be a utopia, although it really seems absolutely nothing like that. There are way too many issues within the scythedom and within the thunderhead that make it seem like a distopia. I don’t understand why the author would try to convey the message that it is a utopia? Why did the writer start with them having a dual perspective in the chapter instead of just having them talk separately?

How does each character feel about one another at this point in time, do they even think of each other?

A favorite part of mine is when Scythe Curie tells Citra that she does not glean children. It makes me realize that Scythe Currie isn’t as bad as she seems. (F)

The journal of Scythe Curie is very consistent throughout the book after each chapter. What significance will this have in the book? (A)

Something that I have noticed throughout the book is that most of the scythes take advantage of their position and use it for bad, eve if it is completely against what the scythedom is. (S)

I did not know what the word “delusion” meant. The words means an idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder. (V)
