بصعوبة أقرأ هذه الرواية.. بغض النظر عن ضيق الوقت أو قل إن ساعاته تتناثر وتضيع بين العمل والكتابة وتعديل فيديوهات لمحتوى أنشأته مؤخرا... أشعر وكأن حروف هذه الرواية شظايا زجاج تطايرت بفعل إنفجار أحدثه ((الإيڤان)) فتجرح كبريائي كما لو كان الألمان أبناء بلدي. كوني متبنّي للفكر النّازي (Neo-Nazi). ما أصعب أن تقرأ عن الأحداث المروّعة التي عاشها هؤلاء التعساء في سنوات الجمر تلك... تبا للرّوس وللأيام عندما تدور! 💀

Had to read it for my WW2 class, but 10/10 would recommend for any type of reader. This is a diary from an anonymous journalist and publisher and she writes extensively during the time Berlin is captured by the Red Army. Although she stays anonymous, you learn so much about this woman.

My library had a display section of books for Holocaust remembrance day, but none of them appealed to me, so I took note of the dewey decimal number and browsed the stacks and that's how I found this book. It's a unique, well-written, and brutal account over two months in 1945 in which Russians invade Berlin and rape of the remaining populace of mostly women and girls, including the author.
