Status Updates From Evil Earths

From the introduction: "You may agree that it is science fiction's Number One Planet. Anything Mars can do, Earth can do better...The urge to wreck it has been very strong---and not always resisted...(if men don't wreck it, it destroys itself)."

Surprising, cogent commentary in the introduction concerning fashions/fads regarding many things as a pretense for the theme of the anthology, as drawn from 3 decades of pulp sci-fi magazines: ecological theory, historiography, historical truth and moral considerations in economic systems (cliometrics), generational fashions, preferences and styles, sci-fi's varieties in vision of Earth and humanity. A solid start.

im not sure if i like it, seem mostly kinda weird and childish to me. im sure the translation plays parts in that too.
