why is nothing EVER explained in this book I'm almost 80% in and I still know basically NOTHING about the whys and hows and whats. I'm so frustrated. also it feels like the protagonist just conveniently forgets about half of what's going on around the him at any time??? he constantly dismisses things/comments that seem really fucking important??

I say 99% because it is a WIP. So far, my review is 4-5 stars. I'm fairly hooked in this work. I'm the kind of reader who generally likes a romantic twist that develops at a moderate-fast pace. Too fast comes off as unreal and too slow just frustrates me most of the time. However, there have been a handful of books I have read that captured my attention completely despite a lack of or slow-paced romance. This is one.

I am on the verge of a rage quit. I skimmed about 80% of this chapter. I just really do not care about this plot. Aliens, magic, super secretive warriors on a super secretive quest of blah. It's convoluted and silly.
