At first it looked like the arm is not attached to the guy,but that he had it as a trophy together with Raido's arm, but apparently in the years afterwards he attached the arm to his side and the eye to his cheek. That is pretty sick.
Plus I wonder what the Shogunai's story is. So far we have no explanation as to why she looks different now.

Yikes, so this is where Raido's right arm went... we definitely entered fantasy territory if there was ever any doubt about it.

Interesting, in the flashback the current Shogunai has what looks like small finger ends on the back of her hand but in the present nothing is to be seen, but I did notice that her white skin has fine red lines on them. I think its good to pay extra attention to the art here.

The first act was pretty decent, even though I think referring to the Izunas as Izuna-wolves when the term is defined by them being wolves, is a bit silly.
the drawing style is a tad too comic like for my taste but the coloring is gorgeous.
I like how they started with the Bunraku play and so far my interest is sparked.
