On to the First Part proper. I think I need to read more philosophy because while it’s interesting, I’m wondering if I need to sharpen my skills to adequately understand

I don’t have much to say about the content so far but I will say Kant was correct for complaining that:

a lot less difficult than i expected — the name “kant” carries with it a reputation of inscrutability which i have not yet found to be accurate. elaborate terminology, yes, but not impossible to follow once immersed into his lexicon.

Past the 'first part of the main transcendetal question'. Again, the language employed in this translation is a bit too obtuse for me at times, but the use of more concrete examples from then-contemporary mathematics has helped things start to click for me.

Pushed through the preamble. Starting to get what Kant is all about, but I still find it quite obtuse, as evident by how long it took me to work through 12 pages.

this is taking me forever to parse but kant is SO PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE in the part where he rejects empirical + "dreaming" idealism its hilarious?

I'm only at the 'preamble' and I feel my brain melting. Hegel is much more straightforward in comparison, this is a lot to digest. I don't even think it's my lack of historical context regarding the debate(s) that Kant engages in with Hume and co., the specific way this is translated indicates he was quite opaque during his lifetime. I'd be surprised if I pushed through this successfully, let alone start the CPR.
