Status Updates From He, She and It

The need to explain things repeatedly is getting on my nerves. Yes, they had to eat yeast to survive the Famine, yes the Glop is dangerous, and ok, the world is very very poisonous, we get it !
But I like the story and the thinking behind it : what is an emotion ? What makes a human, human ?

I like the main story, but I don't like how much it goes back and forth in time

I finally started this a few days ago & there's already A LOT going on. Space stations, corporate domed cities, wastelands, independent Jewish colonies where women don't marry & give their kids to their moms to be raised...I like it so far. Cool world building.
