Status Updates From Beasts of a Little Land

Ughh, I had (sort of) high expectations for this book because it’s set during Japan’s colonization of Korea, but I find it remarkably shallow in the way it handles any serious topic (colonialism, class struggle, women’s condition in the 1920s...). Honestly, it deserves to be on the DNF shelf, but I’m too stubborn to not finish it.
