This series gets better with each book. Though it's a classic good vs evil story, Catrin, the heroine sees the world in a different way than most of the good characters of her type. I love that.

I love finding new authors who write books that are so well written.

I began reading the prologue after finishing the first book. This is a fun series to read. Great for summer reading.

Surprising ending that spiraled to a shocking finale. obviously much more to come in book three.

Book two is good, but it has dragged in spots before exciting sections cause me to rapidly peruse the pages!

Still trying to get INTO the story ...

Even tho I wasnt into the 1st book I decided since this one was free too I would give it a try. I wish the dialogue was more useful to the story. I feel like things that are insignificant get more detail than things that are significant. I also think that Catrin's feelings are often contradictory. Oh I also noticed on pg. 1112 there is a line from or similar to The Lord of the Rings book about the walking stick.
